Zambian Women Some Of The Biggest Drinkers In The World

Zambian women are topping the lists of alcohol consumption in the world,” a survey by the World Health Organisation (WHO) has revealed.

Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya disclosed this at a press briefing yesterday.

Siliya said the development is saddening government and poses as a big challenge as women are considered to be a force to help curb alcoholism and prevent alcohol – related harms in the Children.

She said evidence from the WHO findings suggests that 42 percent of Zambian women drink excessively.

She has since implored all stakeholders to participate in implementation of alcohol policy.
