Drug Supply Improves Across Northern Province

The availability of essential medicines in medical facilities across Northern Province has significantly improved, according to a report by Zambia News and Information Services.

This improvement is attributed to the intensified distribution of essential medicines by the Zambia Medicine and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA).

At Mbala General Hospital, Faustina Mulenga, a Senior Pharmacist, noted, "This year we’ve been receiving stock almost every month. We have been able to receive more than 60% of what we order from ZAMMSA, which hasn’t been the case in previous years.”

Similarly, at Mpulungu District Hospital, Dr. Derick Soda praised ZAMMSA for the increased distribution of drugs, marking a positive shift in the region's healthcare supply chain.
