FQM Assured Workers Job Cuts Will Not Proceed

In a memo that has been released, First Quantum Minerals have written to its workers and reassured them that there will in fact be not job cuts.

FQM General Morris Lowe wrote to workers letting them know that the company will engage with the government in order to find a sustainable solution to the current taxation problem.

Lowe implied that there must be a consorted effort to find ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency in order for FQM to maintain.

Meanwhile Barrick, Glencore and Verdanta continue to have problems with Lungu’s recent tax hikes.
