Dr Kaseba Lobbies Portugese Investments

The Zambian Ambassador to France, former First Lady Dr Christine Kaseba is seeking partnerships between Zambia and Portugal in renewable energy and forestry. 


Dr Christine Kaseba who is also ambassador designate for Portugal, is pushing for scholarships for Zambian students in the European Country. 


“Zambia would like to tap from your advanced expertise in the wind energy development so that we could continue with our diversification efforts for energy mix and most especially continue to pursue our green energy development ambitions and contribute to the fight against climate change,” Dr. Kaseba said.


President De Sousa showed great hope for the relationship between Portuguese and Zambians, stating that he was delighted to witness the new bilateral and multilateral developments between the two countries, particularly in facilitating high level visitings between the two countries and their business communities. 


The President also promised to undertake a visit to Zambia, which will be his second since he starting his presidency. 


“I am happy to report that we have a few Portuguese companies operating in Zambia in the fields of agriculture, services and manufacturing contributing to Zambia’s wealth and job creation agenda. In addition, the trade between the two countries has gradually improved, nevertheless, the still remain unexplored huge opportunities for enhancing the bilateral trade between the two countries” he said.
