Covid-19: Airtel Shuts Down Lusaka Office

Airtel Networks Zambia has closed its head office in Lusaka with immediate effect after a member of staff tested positive for the coronavirus. 

Airtel’s head of corporate communications, Yuyo Kambikambi, announced that the office will remain closed to both staff and members of the public until further notice, in order to curb the spread of the disease. 

“Airtel Networks Zambia Plc wishes to advise its customers and the general public that its’ Head Office situated on Stand 2375, Corner of Addis Ababa drive and Great East Road, Lusaka has had to be closed due to one member of staff having tested positive for COVID 19, ” she said.

Mrs Kambikambi advised customers that staff would still be contactable electronically and that other service centres would remain open for anyone requiring urgent assistance. 

She also encouraged customers to make use of Airtel’s self-help portals and conduct any monetary transactions using the Airtel Money service.
