Development Bank Of Zambia: The Economy Performed Well In 2022
The board chairman of the Bank of Zambia, Noel Nkhoma, announced that the Zambian economy performed well in 2022.
He explained that the economy grew thanks to policies used to stabilise the economy specifically those aimed at reducing inflation and strengthening the exchange rate.
Additionally, he commended the government and outlined that the economy is on the right track to achieve fiscal stability, explaining that this has almost been achieved.
However, he also explained that high unemployment levels could threaten growth to 3 or 4%, something that the New Dawn government has already taken steps to rectify.
