Zambia Airways Launches Regional Route To Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe

Zambia Airways, a joint venture between Ethiopian Airlines and the Zambian government, is launching international operations on March 28 with a regional route to Harare International in Zimbabwe.

The airline has secured long-awaited foreign operator permits, allowing it to expand its reach beyond domestic routes.

Flights between Lusaka and Harare will run three times a week, with plans to add more regional routes in the future.

This expansion is beneficial to the Zambian economy in several ways.

Firstly, it creates new job opportunities in the aviation industry and related sectors such as tourism and hospitality.

Secondly, it opens up new markets for Zambian businesses to trade with and access customers in other countries.

Thirdly, it boosts Zambia's image as a regional hub and attracts more investment from international companies.

Moreover, by partnering with Ethiopian Airlines, Zambia Airways can tap into the experience, expertise, and resources of one of Africa's largest and most successful airlines.

This partnership can help Zambia Airways to develop and expand its operations more efficiently and effectively, which can in turn benefit the Zambian economy.

In summary, Zambia Airways' debut into international operations is a positive development for the Zambian economy, with the potential to generate new jobs, increase trade, enhance Zambia's reputation as a hub, and attract more investment.
