Egypt Requests Zambian Beef And Hides

(NAIS) Egypt has requested Zambia to supply that country with beef and raw salted cattle hides.

Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia MOATAZ ANWAR says Egypt is keen to import beef from Zambia as it has one of the best beef in the region.

Mr. ANWAR explained that Zambia is endowed with abundant natural resources which has enabled the country to produce healthy and nutritious beef.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Fisheries and Livestock Minister MAKOZO CHIKOTE in Lusaka today, Mr. ANWAR said the Egyptian government is ready to collaborate with Zambia in the fields of fisheries, Livestock, and crops.

And, Mr. CHIKOTE has appreciated the Egyptian government for strengthening bilateral relations that have contributed significantly to the social-economic development of the country.

He noted that the engagement with Egypt has helped Zambia to increase fish production to 75, 647 metric tonnes from 59,679 in 2021.
