NFCA Expansion to Create 2,400 Jobs
Non Ferrous Company Africa (NFCA) Mining Limited is set to create approximately 2,400 jobs through the expansion of its South East Ore Body project in Kalulushi District, Copperbelt Province. The company has committed an investment of $600 million USD for this significant development.
During a media tour in Chambeshi, NFCA Chairperson Zhanyan Li detailed the ambitious plans. "This expansion will boost our copper production to 110,000 tonnes per year," Mr. Li stated. He further highlighted the economic benefits, noting that the project would enable the company to contribute $36.15 million USD in taxes to the government.
The job creation and increased copper production are expected to have a substantial positive impact on the local economy. Mr. Li emphasised the company's commitment to the region, saying, "We are dedicated to not only expanding our operations but also to supporting the community through job creation and economic contributions."
