Police Caution PF Official Over ‘Cockroaches’ Threat

Police in Muchinga Province have cautioned PF Youth Chariman Francis Kapyanga after he shared a video on social media threatening to ‘kill the cockroaches and rats’ which he identified as members of the UPND.

In the video, which went viral last week, Mr Kapyanga compared Muchinga Province to President Lungu’s bedroom, stating that “we as his sons are always ready to take care of the bedroom to even kill the cockroaches as well as rats that enter our father’s bedroom.”

Muchinga police commissioner Joel Nsaje said the remarks, directed at political opponents, had the potential to destabilise the country.

He added that the matter was still under investigation.
