COVID-19 Update: 178 New Cases Confirmed

In the last 24 hours, Zambia has recorded 178 new cases of COVID-19 out of 1,224 tests done, 1 deaths and 105 recoveries, according to a briefing held earlier today by the Ministry of Health.

This brings the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 11, 779 including 283 deaths and 10, 945 recoveries

There has been no further update on the health of vice president Inonge Wina, who was confirmed to have tested positive for the virus last week. Previous statements by Minister of Health Dr Chitalu Chilufya suggest the VP is in a stable condition.
