Government To Improve Quality Of Healthcare

Southern Province Minister Cornelius Mweetwa has said that the government will make effort to support institutions which aim to improve the provision of quality healthcare within the country.

Speaking at Chikankata whilst officiating the first ever graduation ceremony for South Valley University, Mweetwa said that the government would support education facilities who offer health and science courses, in a bid to encourage learners to attend such courses to help drive the country forward after graduating.

The feeling was mutual, as South Valley University Vice Chancellor Professor Trevor Kaile added that his university was committed to equipping students with relevant skills to help facilitate economic development within the country, once they are able to participate in healthcare roles to increase the quality of life within Zambia.

Professor Kaile also noted that science is able to facilitate innovation which can subsequently help with development in the community.
