ZICTA OUTLINES SUPPORT FOR ZAMBIA’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AGENDA
The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZITCTA) has outlined its commitment to supporting Zambia’s digital transformation agenda.
The authority announced that it would aid the agenda to ensure cost-reflective and affordable internet, as well as other IT products and services, were made widely available.
PATIENCE CHISANGA-MAYER CALLS FOR FREE SANITARY PRODUCTS FOR ALL
The Co-Founder of Menstruation and Mentorship Matters, Patience Chisanga-Mayer, has called for a country-wide effort to ensure free sanitary products for all.
The announcement comes as Zambia celebrates World Menstrual Hygiene Day.
She stated, “Period poverty is real in Zambia and Africa as a whole. Millions of young girls and women still do not have access to menstrual hygiene products or facilities for menstrual hygiene management, which is an impediment to women and girls in fully participating in economic and academic activity”
SENIOR CHIEF MUKUMBI CELEBRATED FOR HIS 60 YEARS OF LEADERSHIP
Yesterday, Senior Chief Mukumbi of Kaonde was celebrated for his charismatic leadership.
Douglas Muluka, Mukumbi Royal Establishment chairperson, thanked the leader at this year’s Kufukwila ceremony to mark 60 years of his reign.
