Land And Natural Resource Ministry Issues 26,000 Land Owner Certificates
The Minister of Land and Natural Resources has issued 26,000 certificates to landowners under the national land titling programme.
The scheme aims to improve land tenure and security whilst increasing transparency in land allocation.
The programme involves the systematic registration of all property in the country in order to provide security of tenure to all property owners.
Zambian President Encourages Regional, National and International Players to Join Forces
President Hakainde Hichilema has encouraged Ambassadors and High Commissioners working with Zambia to join forces in taking the next steps to ensure Zambia’s economic development.
He outlined the importance of international players to acquaint themselves with the government’s goal of growing the country’s economy.
He encouraged the growth of Zambia’s economy to be done through peace, security and stability at the regional, national and international levels.
Zambia secures Chinese Leader for Debt Talks
China should head the creditors’ committee which is being created to renegotiate Zambia’s debt restructuring problem.
The news offers a step in the right direction after talks had stalled.
Despite delays, the country is still on track to complete restructuring talks by the end of the month, following final approval from the IMF board.
