DRC AND ZAMBIA ESTABLISH PLANS FOR BATTERY SUPPLY CHAIN
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia have outlined plans to generate a battery manufacturing sector within the rich cobalt region that straddles the border of the DRC and Zambia.
The plans reflect a major development in economic growth for both the countries as the manufacturing of batteries will generate higher value exports than the raw material alone, helping to diversify the economy.
UAE INVESTORS OFFER $300 MILLION TO COPPER AND COBALT PROCESSING FACTORY
Blue Star Resources Ltd, a company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has offered over $300 million for a processing plant in Mufulira.
The plant processes copper and cobalt ore but the company want to develop the copper slag dump site at Mopani Copper Mine (MCM).
CHIPOLOPOLO LINE UP ALMOST COMPLETE
The Ghana team have stated that their Chipolopolo line up is nearly complete ahead of Friday’s opening AFCON Group H qualifier against Cote d’Ivoire.
Following their week-long training camp in Ghana, the team has announced that all but one player have been chosen for the team.
Gamphani Lungu, the South African based striker, is the remaining player who is yet to have been chosen.
