ZAMTEL TO CREATE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOUSANDS OF ZAMBIANS

Morton Sikazwe, Mwansabombwe District Commissioner, has stated that the expansion of ZAMTEL will create upwards of 1,500 jobs both directly and indirectly.

In a speech, the Commissioner described the programme as reflective of the New Dawn government’s commitment to universal service provision.

He also said that the opening of over 100 customer service centres will see the creation of employment opportunities.

 

HUAWEI LAUNCHES NEW TECH TRAINING PROGRAM IN ZAMBIA

The Chinese technology company Huawei Technologies has launched its 7th Informational Communication Technology (ICT) Program for Zambian students.

The program will aid Zambia in developing its digital economy and help students to better understand the opportunities that technology can offer.

Elvis Nkandu, Ministry of Youths and Sport, has said that the New Dawn government are prioritising youth-based opportunities.

Following a speech to young Zambians, the Minister outlined that the government will encourage and foster more opportunities that cater to the needs of young people in Zambia.
