ACC ENCOURAGES THE REOPENING OF CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS AGAINST CHITOTELA

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has submitted an application to the Lusaka High Court to restore the corruption charges that had been initially put against Ronald Chitotela.

Initially, Chitotela had been accused of owning a property acquired through the proceeds of crime but had surrendered his wife’s property as opposed to his own.

Following new evidence that the house was not his own, the ACC has reinstated that the case is re-opened.

 

MORE RECRUITMENT OF PUBLIC WORKERS TO COME – MWEETWA

Cornelius Mweeta, Southern Province Minister, has stated that the government will employ more secondary school teachers.

The move will help the New Dawn government meet their target of free education.

In an interview with Choma Many on Saturday, he stated, “this is the beginning of the business of recruitment of public workers.”

 

UN PRAISE ZAMBIA RECRUITMENT OF PUBLIC WORKERS

The UN System in Zambia has praised the recruitment of over 30,000 teachers and the impending recruitment of over 11,000 healthcare workers.

They said that the move shows the New Dawn Government’s commitment to universal education and healthcare.

Beatrice Mutali, the UN Resident Coordinator, stated that education and health are key to Zambia achieving its national development goals.
