Communities that keep trees to be rewarded

Government says it is coming up with incentives for communities that are protecting trees and helping to curb deforestation.

Green Economy and Environment Minister MIKE MPOSHA says through carbon trading, the communities are set to benefit from their efforts.

Speaking when he appeared on ZNBC, Sunday Interview, Mr. MPOSHA said the weakness in enforcement is what is driving deforestation.

He said the act is happening in localities where the officers are found but they are failing to take action.
