Former Chipolopolo Star’s Condition Improving Following Car Accident
Former Chipolopolo player Rainford Kalaba’s condition is gradually improving following a traffic accident on Saturday, according to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) where he is receiving treatment.
The former player, who is 38 years old, was a passenger in a Mercedes Benz when the car collided with a Howo truck. The driver of the Mercedes died at the scene.
According to Nzeba Chanda, the UTH Adult Public Relations Officer, Kalaba has shown a positive response to treatment since his initial admission following the incident.
Doctors said that Kabala was showing encouraging signs, noting his increased responsiveness to stimuli such as sound and touch.
Ms. Chanda said that Kalaba's current condition is stable and UTH medical staff are monitoring his progress and ensuring that he receives quality care.
Ms. Chanda said that the hospital will continue to provide updates on Kalaba's condition.
