Pregnant Woman Attacked by Elephant

Two women have been hospitalised at Katondwe Hospital in Luangwa District after being attacked by elephants.

The incident occurred yesterday at around 18:00 hours in Luangwa Town.

According to Luangwa Council Chairperson Lawrence Shaba, one of the two women is seven months pregnant. Both victims are reported to be in stable condition and are receiving medical attention.

Mr. Shaba has advised residents to exercise caution due to the recent rise in elephant attacks in the area.
