Civil Service Commission announces third phase of cholera volunteer recruitment

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has unveiled plans to employ an additional 329 volunteers in the public service as part of ongoing efforts to combat the cholera outbreak. This announcement marks the third phase of the cholera volunteers' recruitment process.

During a press conference held in Lusaka, CSC Chairperson Choolwe Beyani revealed that the new recruits will comprise 209 general workers and 120 professional health workers. This latest round of recruitment brings the total number of volunteers engaged by the public service to 1,250 since the initiative began.

The names of the selected general workers and professional health workers are scheduled to be published on 18 September.

Beyani advised that individuals whose names appear on the list should collect their appointment letters from the Public Service Management Division offices in Lusaka. Applicants are required to present their national registration cards for verification during this process.

This recruitment drive underscores the government's continued commitment to bolstering its response to the cholera outbreak through increased manpower and resources.
