HH Donates Bus to Local School

President Hakainde Hichilema has bought a bus for the Footprints of Hope School, which belonged to philanthropist Dore Nyambe, before her passing on December 25, 2024, after a short illness.

Ms. Nyambe’s Footprints of Hope School cared for over five hundred vulnerable children, and the President has fulfilled her dying wish by buying a bus for the school.

Zambians across the region were saddened by the sudden passing of the Ukushi-based philanthropist. Ms Mnyambe helped to provide free education to the pupils and other basic needs, including shelter, food, and protection from some of society's vices.

To honour her memory, one month after Mnyambe’s passing, President Hichilema’s advisor, Jito Kayumba, took the 40km drive to donate to the school she founded; he donated various food items and exercise books.

Footprints of Hope School Headmistress Thandiwe Mseteka expressed gratitude for the love shown by the President to the school; she told ZNBC, “Kindness is free, and that is our motto for the school.”
