General Kanene Arrested for Indecent Assault

Once again police in Lusaka have arrested and charged Clifford Dimba aka General Kanene for indecent assault.

It is being alleged that the previously convicted sexual offender has assaulted a female TV presenter, pressing his hands on her breasts and buttocks.

Zambia Police Service Spokesperson Mrs Esther Mwaata Katongo told Mwebantu that General Kanene was arrested yesterday and is detained in Police custody.

“We received a report of Indecent  Assault from a 26 year old female of old Kanyama Compound in Lusaka that she was indecently assaulted by Clifford Dimba popularly known as general Kanene. This is reported to have happened at a bar in Makeni Villa on 16th October, 2018 around 2000 hours. It is alleged that the suspect repeatedly touched the victim’s breasts against her will as she was waiting for her food.”

General Kanene was previously convicted for having sex with a 14 year old girl and was sentenced to 18 years in jail, President Lungu pardoned him and in a twisted turn of events made him an Ambassador for Women and Children’s rights. Four days after his initial release he beat his wife and another woman.
