Corruption in Zambia Worsens
According to the 2018 Corruption Perceptions Index, created by Transparency International, corruption in Zambia has increased in the past 12 months.
Sadly, but perhaps not surprisingly, Zambia remains among the world’s most corruption countries, ranking 18th worst in Sub-Saharan Africa (the worst ranked continent in the world).
Of 180 countries, we scored 105. The worst were Somalia, Syria and South Sudan and the best were Denmark and New Zealand.
Transparency International ranks countries using a scale of 1-100, 0 being Highly Corrupt and 100 being Very Clean. Zambia scored a disappointing 35.
