UPND MP Arrested Over Maize Theft Three Years Ago

The UPND MP for Sinjembela has been charged and arrested over the theft of 110 50kg bags of maize.

 

The bags of maize were the property of the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit, they were being stored at the Shangombo Food Reserve Agency in Western Province.

 

Zambia Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed the arrest of Mr Mubika and confirmed he was detained at Chilenje Police Station.

 

He is said to have stolen the maize between August 9th and 10th in 2016.
