Embattled Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili has been summoned to appear at Lusaka Central Police Station this afternoon.

He has recently come under attack from politicians and the public alike, for the comments he made to an Indian national working in Zambia. Many have deemed the remarks xenophobic and racist.

Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya recently said Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili risked being arrested for uttering derogatory and racial remarks aimed at an Indian national.

She has told Journalists at a media briefing that the development should not only be condemned by all well-meaning Zambia but by the international community, she also warned that the law should take its course on his actions.
