Low Voter Turnout In Kafue As PF Win By 602 Votes
Voter turnout in yesterdays election for Kafue Council Chairperson was less than 30%, continuing the recent trend of low turnout.
The PF candidate Simakoyi Moono won with 9,252 votes, with the only other candidate Beatrice Kayuni securing 8,650 votes. The difference between the two candidates was just 602 votes.
The election was prompted by the defection of the incumbent Thomas Zulu from the UPND to the PF. Zulu was under suspension from the UPND.
