Kambwili Officially Made NDC President And Fires Party Secretary General
The NDC has formally endorsed Chishimba Kambwili as its President. The announcement was made during a press briefing earlier today by the NDC Vice President Joseph Akafumba.
Akafumba stated that the decision was made by the central committee. Mr Kambwili accepted his endorsement and one of the first moves he made was to fire Mwenya Musenge as NDC secretary General and instead appointed him as a member of the Central Committee in charge of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs,
In addition, Kambwili removed the party chairman in charge of elections and replaced him with Meyani Zulu, in the same move Jospeh Chishala was made a member of the Central Committee in charge of labour and Jackson Kaonga moved from Agriculture to tourism.
Finally, Mr. Kambwili says the NDC will not participate in the National dialogue process that opens next week.
