While the UPND focusses on ending poverty in Zambia, the PF is busy trying to dismantle the UPND and it’s leader
The UPND has been working hard to address the economic challenges facing Zambians, with their team strategising how best they can put an end to the poverty and suffering so many are currently enduring in the country.
The same efforts however, cannot be said to be coming from the country’s ruling party, the PF. Who seem far more preoccupied and interested in investing their efforts into dismantling the UPND, and vilifying it’s leader Mr. Hichilema.
The UPND’s Secretary General Stephen Katuka, made a statement saying that if by fixing Mr. Hichilema and the UPND will address the economic challenges Zambians are facing, the UPND wholeheartedly welcomes the new PF manifesto of making Mr. Hichilema their favourite breakfast show topic and in doing so, let them be weary that they will not fool the people of Zambia.
Katuka has expressed hope that the citizens of Zambia, especially the youth and women, see what matters most to the PF officials, as opposed to development, education and health.
The UPND has been concentrating its efforts on finding solutions to the country’s debt mountain, as well as working to support those Zampost workers, council workers and the National Housing Authority employees who are going unpaid. It also fully appreciates that there is not enough money in pocket’s of the Zambian people, taxes are unreasonable, corruption exists among top government officials and unemployment levels amongst youth are worryingly high. Not to mention additional matters affecting citizens; the closure of CBD and the fact that so many farmers are still going unpaid. These are all matters that will need the upmost of government attention and effort in order to create real change in the country. This is not something that can be achieved if character assassination of the opposition and personal feuds remain the prime focus of PF government.
