PF Make U-Turn On TIZ Party Expenditure Report

The leading Patriotic Front (PF) have made a u-turn on their explanation behind the Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) report which alleged that the party had spent K6.05 million on billboards.

Lusaka Province PF chairman Kennedy Kamba has said that the money spent on these billboards was donated by rich supporters of the party, subsequently agreeing that the money outlined in the report was actually spent.

His comments come just one day after the PF’s media director Antonio Mwanza dismissed the TIZ report all together, alleging it was not based on sound facts. These comments dismiss altogether the hard work which the international organisation puts in across countries worldwide to end the injustice of corruption.

Speaking during an interview, Mr Kamba said that the party had several business friends who were able to support the funding of these billboards.

“The owners of these companies, some of them are supporting PF, we have business men and they are coming up to support the party,” he said.

The Lusaka Province chairman subsequently made a poor attempt to cover up government corruption, saying that the money spent did not come from corrupt sources.
