Census To Be Held In August/September

The government has confirmed that a nation-wide census will be held from Thursday 18th August until 14th September of this year. This will mark the 6th ever national census, which the Zambia Statistics Agency is mandated to carry out every ten years. 

The upcoming census will adopt a Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) technique, which involves gathering information using an electronic questionnaire on computer tablets.

This marks an improvement on previous censuses, which were paper-based, and is aimed at boosting cost effectiveness in the collection and processing of data.
