President Hichilema Returns From Successful Namibia Trip

Following a two-day state visit, President Hakainde Hichilema has returned to Zambia.

The president visited the long-standing trading partner to attend the Swakopmund International Trade Expo (SWAiTEX).

During the Expo President Hichilema officiated the event as well as making a key note speech during which he addressed the Namibia Business Forum.

At the forum he expressed his excitement to explore further trade opportunities between Zambia and Namibia, specifically outlining plans to find common frameworks with which small and medium enterprises can thrive.

The president also visited Walvis Bay Dry Port to better understand the operations of the facility. During his visit, he also took a tour of NAMCOR, Namibia’s oil jetty facility.  

On his arrival, the president described the trip as ‘successful’ and explained that Namibia will continue to be a good business partner working closely with Zambia.
