Copperbelt Pleased With President's Achievements - Matambo
Minister Elisha Matambo of the Copperbelt province has told President Hakainde Hichilema that people within the area are happy with the progress made by the UPND Government.
Speaking during Natural Agriculture Field Day in Munkumpu on Friday, Mr Matambo spoke with President Hichilema and said that people within the province were pleased with his achievements for the country during his first eight months in power.
“Things like CDF (Constituency Development Fund) increment from K1.6 million to K25.7 million, the good people of the copperbelt are happy with that. The recruitment of teachers, 30,000 which has never happened since independence, the people are very happy with that including the recruitment of health workers, 11,000 health workers,” Mr Matambo said.
The province minister added that people within the area were pleased at President Hichilema’s vision of reuniting the country following a period of division prior to his election in August 2021, as well as plans to fight corruption within the country during his time as President.
