President Hichilema Promises To Fix The Chingola-Chililabombwe Road

During his visit to the Copperbelt, President Hakainde Hichilema promised that the Chingola-Chiliabombwe road remains a priority for the government and will be fixed.

During an address to Chililabombwe residents yesterday evening, the President outlined that the road was in an unacceptable state and needed attention.

He outlined that the previous government’s failure is what led to the road’s poor condition and that his government would work to fix it quickly.

Further, Paul Kabuswe, Minister of Mines and Chiliabombwe Member of Parliament, agreed with the president’s remarks.

Mr Kabuswe said, “your government will soon work on the Chililabombwe-Kasumbalesa road. This is an important road that will boost the economic status of the province.”

During the president’s visit, the town of Chiliabombwe came to a complete standstill as hundreds of people lined the street to see the president, who has since returned back to Lusaka.
