Italian President To Visit Zambia

Sergio Mattarella, President of the Republic of Italy, has announced that he will be visiting the country between today and Thursday 8th July. 

The visit will include an official call to the State House where the Italian president and President Hakainde Hichilema will hold bilateral talks focusing on areas of mutual interest at a regional and international level.

President Mattarella will also visit the National Assembly Hall of Zambia tomorrow.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Stanley Kakubo, explained that the two countries share an excellent relationship based on shared values and mutual respect.

He also outlined the ability of both countries to effectively collaborate through common membership in the United Nations and other institutions. 

The announcement reflects the New Dawn Government’s commitment to maintaining robust economic diplomacy in the pursuit of economic prosperity for all Zambians as well as peace and security.
