Nevers Mumba defends HH
In a recent interview with ZNBC News, Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) leader Dr Nevers Mumba strongly defended President Hakainde Hichilema against accusations of being "stingy" by opposition politician Kelvin Fube.
Dr Mumba dismissed the criticism, arguing that the expectation of political leaders providing personal handouts has been detrimental to Zambia's national development.
He emphasised President Hichilema's commitment to empowering Zambians through institutional support, family initiatives, and youth-focused programs.
"President Hichilema has helped more people and provided more resources than any opposition member could," Mumba stated. He underscored the President's approach of systematic support over individual patronage.
The MMD leader reaffirmed that the President remains dedicated to national progress by prioritising the strengthening of institutions and comprehensive social development strategies.
