Most Vulnerable to Benefit From Food Security Pack Programme
Over three thousand people are set to benefit from the Food Security Pack (FSP) programme’s emergency wetlands cropping plan.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Community Development and Social Welfare in Luwingu, the programme will help vulnerable households who have been affected by floods or droughts.
District Commissioner, Chomba Chileshe said the Department of Community Development is currently conducting sensitisation meetings in preparation.
Chileshe said this procedure comes after President Hichilema declared the drought a national emergency in February.
He added that the government is engaging with traditional and civic leaders to help encourage citizens to register for the programme.
