Human Rights Campaigner Praises HH's Speech
President Hichilema has been commended for re-affirming his zero-tolerance approach to negative carderism.
These warm remarks came from anti-corruption and human rights campaigner Wesley Miyanda, who praised the contents of the President’s National Address to the National Assembly on 28 February.
The speech concerned national values and principles, and in an interview with ZANIS, Mr Miyanda commended the President for upholding his campaign pledges to govern Zambia on the bases of rule of law and popular consent, and for re-affirming in the speech his commitment to practicing clean politics free from violence and intimidation.
Miyanda singled out for praise the President’s statements that politics should not be a source of division, but should rather be a vehicle for the pursuit of development through the free exchange of ideas.
Miyanda is an influential campaigner and his comments will surely resonate with many Zambians who want a free and democratic Zambia.
