Copper Queens Face Lionesses

The Copper Queens will today face Cameroon in their last international friendly in Abidjan before the AWCON kicks off on November 17.

The preparatory match will be played at 16:00hrs local time and 18:00hrs Zambian time at the National Technical Center in Bingerville.

The friendly will be the third time the two sides clash this year having played each other at the Cosafa Women Championship in Port Elizabeth.

Zambia beat Cameron 1-0 in the Group stage of the Cosafa with the two sides later meeting in the semi - finals with Cameron beating the Copper Queens by the same margin to eject them from tournament. 
Both the Copper Queens and the Lionesses are camped in Abidjan ahead of the AWCON.

Zambia is placed in Group B of the AWCON alongside Nigeria, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea.
Cameroon are in Group A alongside hosts Ghana and Algeria.

Zambia kicks off its campaign for the trophy on November 18 against Equatorial Guinea and face defending champions Nigeria three days later.
