Sven evaluating possible assistants during weekly camps
Chipolopolo coach Sven Vendenbroek has disclosed that he is also using the ongoing weekly training camps to assess his potential assistant coaches.
Vandenbroek is holding four weekly, three-day training camps in Lusaka with his home-based players to come up with his final core of 23 domestic-based team before switching his focus on the overseas-based players when their respective leagues kickoff in August.
“No one is certain of staying. The camp for players is also the camp for coaches. I will also evaluate those around me during the camp and the final decision is also somewhere in the future,” Vandenbroek said.
“Maybe I will talk with others but everything is open and there is no one officially assigned to be besides me on the technical bench.”
Power Dynamos assistant coach Kampamba Chintu and Lusaka Dynamos goalkeeper trainer Stephen Mwansa are the locals on his interim technical staff.
The domestic league call-ups regroup this Sunday in Lusaka for the second week of camping under the Belgian.
