ZESCO United Face TP Mazembe

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League 2019 continues with ZESCO United today facing Congolese team TP Mazembe as part of the Group A fixtures.

TP Mazembe previously secured a 3-0 victory over Egyptian side Zamalek, while in their first group match ZESCO United drew with Angola’s Primeiro de Agosto.

The third set of group matches are expected to take place on December 27, before the teams meet each other once again in a series of return fixtures.

The tournament is the 56th edition of Africa’s premier club football tournament organized by CAF.

The winners of the 2019–20 CAF Champions League will qualify for the FIFA 2020 Club World Cup in Qatar.

Esperance de Tunis are the defending champions.
