FAZ Congratulates CAF Envoys on Victories

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has congratulated Nkana and Napsa for their first leg victories in the CAF Confederation Cup pre-group stage.

Nkana secured a 2-0 win at home when they faced Morocco’s Tihad Athletique Sport de Casablanca with goals from Fred Tshimenga and Obeddy Masumbuko. Meanwhile, Napsa Stars defeated Kenya’s Gor Mahia 1-0 in an away fixture, with the winning goal coming from Daniel Adoko.

Commenting on the victories, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga said the wins put the two sides in good stead to qualify to the lucrative group stage.

“On behalf of my executive committee, I wish to congratulate the two sides for winning their first legs. It is a good start and puts them in a strong position to finish the job in the second round and qualify to the group stage,” Kamanga stated.

The FAZ President called on the teams to work hard ahead of the second legs as the winners will qualify to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
