Shepolopolo Starts Training Camp For COSAFA Women's Cup

Today Zambia’s women’s national football team, Shepolopolo, have begun their training camp in Lusaka. The camp is in preparation of the 2021 COSAFA Women’s Championship which will be hosted by South Africa.

The regional championship is set to take place in Nelson Mandela Bay from September 28-October 9.

Earlier this week Shepolopolo’s coach, Bruce Mwape, announced his 28-member squad for the Championship, eight of which are players from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic squad.

Zambia will face Eswatini, Namibia and Uganda in Group C of the championship.

Shepolopolo will kick off the campaign against Eswatini on 30 September before facing Namibia three days later and finally will wrap up Group C action with a fixture against Uganda on 5 October.
