Former FAZ Treasurer Appointed Nkana CEO
The former treasurer of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), Kelvin Mutafu, has been appointed as Nkana’s chief executive officer.
The move sees Mutafu replace Charles Chakatazya after his departure to Kabwe Warriors last season following his contract expiring with Nkana.
The new addition to the club was announced by Nkana’s media officer Lillian Musenge.
“Mutafu takes over from Club Accountant Kapwepwe Mutale who held the position in an acting capacity since Charles Chakatazya left the club following the expiry of his contract late last year,” Musenge stated.
Nkana president Joseph Silwamba stated that he was confident the new CEO would bring useful football management skills to the table.
“Our new club CEO is a full package for this position as he comes in with experience from the corporate world where he held a very senior position at ZAFFICO as Chief Internal Auditor and the vast football knowledge at both club and FAZ level,” Silwamaba said.
