National Heroes Stadium Rehabilitation Works Commence

According to the Football Association of Zambia rehabilitation works on the National Heroes stadium have commenced.

The renovation works will involve the removal of the existing turf, installation of solar powered hybrid boreholes and repair works on the entry points.

So far, the technical area (seats) have been replaced with modern fittings. Sports permanent secretary Kangwa Chileshe commissioned the works Friday morning and says works are expected to be completed by December 2024.

FAZ registrar and club licensing manager Iva Lengwe says the Association welcomes the works as they will help in ensuring that the stadium meets the standards required for CAF certification.
