Great Success for Zambia at the Martial Arts African Championships

2024’s Mixed Martial Arts African Championships came to a close last week and saw great success for team Zambia. The group collected 5 medals between both the men's and women's categories. 

In the men's middleweight category a gold medal was proudly presented to Gilbert Ndlovu. In the women's category, Miracle Chipito was awarded a silver. 

In the bantamweight category, fighter Abraham Banda was also awarded a well-deserved silver medal. In the women's equivalent category, Killian Lungu and Mutinta Mweene each brought home bronze medals.

The team should feel very proud, with the Mixed Martial Arts Zambia President Benjamin Bush affirming this by claiming the outing a success, despite the issues and challenges faced by the team prior to and after the championship.
