Unemployed Youths Assured of More Jobs to Come
President Hakainde Hichilema has reassured unemployed youths across the country that more employment opportunities are to come, particularly referring to unselected applicants in the recently conducted recruitment of teachers and health workers.
President Hichilema’s plan to boost the private and public sectors to create more jobs will ensure the current unemployment level in the country continues to drop, assuring Zambians that the new dawn administration ensure a transparent recruitment process going forward.
President Hichilema outlined his plans during a luncheon he hosted for beneficiaries of government policies and initiatives.
“My encouragement to those that didn’t get teaching jobs, because we had such a huge backlog, who didn’t get nothing, the paramedics or doctors. Our intention is to expand the economy. To create not just public sector jobs but to facilitate private sector jobs. Those should be the majority of jobs. So don’t lose hope and continue, tomorrow it will be you,” the President stated.
“This is why we must fight corruption, so that money that is being taken by a small number can be left in the public kitty and support more of our children like her children and many others. That is the connection to preserving public resources” he added.
Attendees of the lunch thanked the President for his hard work toward unemployment reduction across the country, as they have seen first hand the positive impact which he is having in this sector.
