North Western Province to Open More Mines

President Hakainde Hichilema announced plans to open more mines in North Western Province, assuring residents of increased development opportunities.

Speaking at Solwezi Airport, where he was welcomed by locals, President Hichilema said the reopening of mines including Kasenseli and Kalengwa is a significant step towards development in the region.

Major mines, including the First Quantum Minerals-run Kansanshi, are reinvesting in the area, ensuring job creation for the people of North Western Province.

The President's visit to Solwezi coincided with this year's national Labour Day commemoration. North Western Province Minister Robert Lihefu said the region was honoured to host the President.
