Ministry of Mines and Ivanhoe sign MoU
The government has taken a significant step towards bolstering its mining sector by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ivanhoe Mines.

During the signing ceremony, Mines Minister Paul Kabuswe expressed optimism about the potential benefits of this collaboration for Zambia's mining sector. Hapenga Kabeta, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Mines, emphasised the importance of this partnership, describing it as a crucial step towards unlocking various mining opportunities and promoting overall development in the sector.
Ivanhoe’s Executive Vice President for Special Projects Patricia Makhesha conveyed the company's enthusiasm for the venture.
