Education Ministry Warns Of Fake Exam Papers

The Ministry of General Education has warned students of fake examination papers being printed and distributed by unscrupulous individuals.

Ministry Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Jobbicks Kalumba says investigations are underway to find those responsible for the forgeries.

Dr Kalumba advised pupils not to be taken in by the scam, adding that the Examination Council of Zambia has not yet printed any papers for this year’s exams.

Speaking to ZNBC News in Lusaka on Saturday, Dr Kalumba said that relying on the forged exams could give students a false sense of security and discourage them from actually studying.

He called on anyone with information about the scam to come forward to the police or the ministry.

He said it was unfortunate that anyone should resort to endangering Zambia’s education system to make money.
